FINANCE MANAGER

Trumpet is an advertising agency and brand consultancy with offices in New Orleans, LA. We help brands improve performance by aligning communication, company culture and customer experience around the brand purpose. Within this context, the primary goal of the Finance Manager is to conduct, foster and oversee the business operations of the agency including billing & collections, expense verification and payment, banking and treasury, general office management, and other related financial and administrative duties. Within this context, the Finance Manager has primary responsibility for/to:

• Billing and Collections
  • Produce Client Billing in Coordination with Account and Production teams
  • Management and delivery of regular billing forecast/P&L documents
  • Monitor Receivables Aging and Producing/Distributing Statements to Clients
• Banking and Credit Cards
  • Owns Relationship with Bank
  • Performs Daily Checks for accuracy and fraud detection
  • Oversees all deposits, AP Check /& ACH Payments, and Reconciliations
  • Collects information from Credit Card holders to record and reconcile charges
• Producer Team Support
  • Client and Vendor creation and maintenance in Advantage software
  • Prebill and Budget tracking
  • Purchase Order monitoring
• Accounting
  • Produce Journal Entries
  • Gather W9 and produce 1099 forms for Vendors
• Miscellaneous
  • Manage approval process for freelance team member invoices
  • Coordinates with outside vendors as a liaison the company
• Business Operations
  • Acts as a liaison for outside vendors for the company.
• Reporting to CFO

MEASURABLES:

The Finance Manager will be held accountable to these objective metrics:

• Active oversight and escalation as needed to resolve collections issues
• Timely production of monthly client billing
• Investigation, escalation, and resolution of fraudulent activity
• Ensures timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices for client and agency expenses.

OTHER:

• This position is a hybrid. However, the candidate must live in the New Orleans Metro Area due to certain tasks assigned.
• It is a plus if you have experience with Advantage Software Accounting, Slack and Asana.
